The river Saalach near Lofer is wild and turbulent, perfect for a rafting trip. But those who have never tried it before should not be too intimidated by the white water and the waves
Beginners first learn what they need to know about rafting before they even get onto the water. Only then does everyone board the large inflatable boat.
Equipped with a neoprene suit, neoprene shoes, helmet and life jacket, participants set off on the waves on the Saalach through rapids and past rocks. Everyone in the boat helps with paddling and by using their bodies to stay on course.
There are various rafting tours starting in Lofer to choose from. Children from the age of six are also welcome on board on the easier options, provided they know how to swim. The packages include transfers to the starting point.
