Starlight in Salzburg

The new VEGA observatory in Obertrum near Salzburg is organising telescopic star tours.

One of the most modern observatories in central Europe opened in August 2018 in Obertrum am See, near the city of Salzburg.

The VEGA observatory is a branch of the “Haus der Natur” in Salzburg and sees itself as a place of science and research.

It is also regularly open to interested visitors. If the weather permits, preferably with a cloudless sky, telescopic star tours take place every Monday evening. Guests are welcome to visit the observatory free of charge without advance reservation and are able to view the depths of the universe with their own eyes and/or by telescope.
