The traditional Christmas market above the rooftops of Graz is a hive of activity during the Advent period. The alleys on the Schlossberg and the Kasematten are transformed into a large Christmas market on five weekends between 18 November and 18 December 2022.
Styrian handicraft products and hearty specialities from the region are on offer. Festive music is provided by tower brass players and ensembles. Popular drinks include, for example, the typical Styrian Schilcherglühwein.

The Schlossberg towers above the city of Graz. The clock tower, the city’s landmark, stands on its summit. There was never a castle on the Schlossberg in the classical sense, but there was a mighty fortress, of which the bell tower and the clock tower still stand today.
